Hal's Birthday Party

Courtesy of our German neighbors, Hal had the opportunity to participate in a "Maltese" birthday tradition.
We lined up his choices...these items all represent his future profession (if you are wondering, the egg is a symbol of fertility):

Melanie held Hal up to get a good look at his choices....:

After a moment of looking and contemplation he made a bee line for the ....

Beautiful Saturday Afternoon

We headed out to the beach for a brief time yesterday afternoon.  It was beautiful.  Today (Sunday) is supposed to be close to 70 degrees (sorry my WI friends/family), so we are hoping to get outside again today for some fun.  I am posting a few of the nicer pictures from the afternoon.
This is Kate with our neighbor:

Guinness is soooo excited....the beach is the only place we let him dig....heaven!!

Hal is trying to figure out this sand thing...He was so serious the entire time...I can't wait to see him in the water this summer.

January Day

I have not updated this in a while so here are a couple of recent pictures.  Kate is in this phase where it can be challenging to get a nice smile...this is the best one I have of her from this set of pictures.

Our Second Ginger Bread House

Once again, Kate and I attempted a Ginger Bread House (the pre fab kind). I'm not sure if it was better or worse than last years, but it was equally as "fun."
